On September 10,^, 2021 Giga Chikaidze hosted a press conference at Radisson Blu Iveria hotel, during which he assessed his career achievements and shared the future plans, a significant part of which is a long-term partnership with Gulf Georgia.

 

This partnership primarily aims to promote this particular sports category in Georgia, discover and attract more fighters for UFC.

 

While attending the press conference, Vano Nakaidze, Chief Managing Partner of Petrocas Energy Group, highlighted that Giga Chikaidze besides being the face of “Gulf Georgia” genuinely sets an example of aspiration, dedication and hard work, all those things he sacrificed during the years in order to bring the Georgian flag to USA.

 

The friendship and collaboration between Giga and Petrocas Energy Group dates back to 2015, by the time Giga decided to move to Los Angeles, California. It was then, that Giga decided to join the sports of MMA and compete on behalf of Georgia.  Way towards success was not easy, he was defeated many times, but had more victories, however eventually managed to a proud Georgian fighter holding the eight place in the list of UFC fighters in his respective weight category.

 

Nowadays Petrocas Energy Georgia daughter company “Gulf Georgia” decided to support Giga in his sporting career and unleash new opportunities for the athlete.

 

32 years old, Giga Chikaidze has been competing in the UFC since 2019. From then on, the Georgian athlete participated in seven fights winning each of them.  However a turning point in his career, as well as athlete image, advancement was the fight with Edison Barbosa, who he defeated by knockout in the third round.

 

Giga Chikaidze informed media regarding the ongoing negotiations for Georgia to host the UFC in 2022, and noted that more information on the topic should be shared soon. For this major event to take place sponsor involvement is critical, however the fact that the UFC considers Georgia as a next destination is already an impressive move towards success. Giga revealed it is his big dream to have a fight in his homeland, therefore he will closely cooperate with “Gulf Georgia” to translate his dream into a plan that works.
